A Regular Day
It was a pleasant weather that day in Lahore. I was studying in my room. when two of my friends came and asked me to go out of the hostel to eat something. It was the thing i needed, I was also hungry! I told them to wait a few minutes till I change my clothes. I called my other friend and told him to go get ready for Anarkali bazar. And here we go!
Pak Tea House
I preferred eating fast food. Others wanted to have something sweet. So we decided to go to Pak Tea House for we could find the diversity we want.
While entering the Pak Tea House, the attendants were standing on the entrance corridor with hand sanitizers. We washed our hands and one attendant accompanied us to the third floor of the house. It was actually full of people. Most of them had a notebook and a pencil on their tables with a cup of tea. We got seated on the third floor.
Writers pictures
As I showed in the photos taken, different images of many poets and writers were installed on the walls. These writers and thinkers used to gather in this place in the mid of nineteenth century. This house was established in 1949, after two years of Pakistan’s independence. We saw all the writers’ images and descriptions under them. I observed that most of them were English writers.
Me and one of my friends ordered zinger burgers with tea. The others ordered cake pastry with tea. We enjoyed the food. Such kind of best burgers I had ever tasted in my life. The pastry was also very delicious. It was an amazing sojourn for like entire four hours. A group of lawyers was sitting behind us and one of them was telling a story of the Pak Tea House! We joined to listen and it was great to listen the whole story of this house. He mentioned many names of famous writers of Asia. He told that because of such gatherings in this place, this house is called “The House Of Thinkers And Writers”.
We experienced such a peaceful and pleasant environment. We didn’t want to leave it! When we came out of the house, it was thick dark. We reached our hostel, keeping the memories from the day in minds.
